The 2026 mission season is off to a great start with almost a month in Puerto Rico. My trip started with 3 days of Mission Leader Training Camp at our campus in Gainesville Georgia at the end of February, followed by 3 days of staff time connecting in person with the people that I work with every day. Then on February 25th I left Georgia and headed to Puerto Rico.

As I sit here in the Miami airport on March 23rd, on our way home from Puerto Rico, I can’t believe that was only a month ago, it feels like a lifetime! My time In Puerto Rico was spent visiting with our ministry partners, enjoying the beauty of God’s creation, and leading 2 trips. I had 4 Sundays in Puerto Rico. My first I spent at Cannan Church in Santurce, because that is the church that these two trips partnered the most with. The second Sunday, I attended Catacumba Church in Caguas to visit with Pastor Tolentino who has been a great ministry partner with us for a few years. The third Sunday Lynn was with me and we visited our friends in Ponce at Iglesia Bautista de Rio Chiquito, and anyone who was on the 2022 mission trip with First Baptist Church will remember that church and our friends there well.  And we ended our last Sunday yesterday back at Cannan church to bless them with a beautiful concert from the choir group, and enjoy their church service one last time.

On Lynn’s and my travels we got to visit the west side of the island, which I hadn’t been to before. There was a lot of God’s beautiful creation to see on the west side of the island, and it was a good couple of days for Lynn and I to rest and recuperate.

Overall, it was an amazing trip full of rest and recuperation, building relationships, and serving the Lord (and the people of Puerto Rico).

I’ll be posting blogs in the near future more fully detailing the 2 trips that I lead while in Puerto Rico, so keep an eye out for those upcoming posts.

Thank you all for supporting me in prayer, and encouragement, and financially. Each of you is a part of what God is doing through me in Puerto Rico, and beyond!

P.S. The food was amazing!  We had some amazing meals prepared by ourselves, by the church, and a few special treats eating out.  We even tried some strange and different Puerto Rican fruits.  We didn’t like them all, but we tried them!
